Answer Your Doorbell from Anywhere in the World
Most residential burglaries occur during the day when homeowners are away at work or school. Oftentimes, a burglar may pose as a solicitor and ring the doorbell in an attempt to see if anyone answers the door. If no one answers, their assumption is that no one is home and that the house is a viable target to break into.
You can thwart their attempt with a video doorbell. When someone rings the doorbell, it will ring your smartphone allowing you to “answer” the door via your phone. With a doorbell camera, you will be able to see and speak to them, no matter where you happen to be; they won’t know that you’re not home when you answer.
Additionally, the video doorbell’s built-in motion sensor will notify you if it detects movement—even if the visitor doesn’t actually ring the doorbell—and will record video footage of anyone that approaches your door.
Video doorbells give you the ability to:
· Answer the door when your children are home alone.
· Monitor deliveries and prevent porch pirates from stealing your packages.
· Speak to your visitors without opening the door, keeping you much more secure.
· See who came to the door even if you don’t answer.
· Deter would-be thieves from even approaching the door.
There are two main types of doorbell cameras: wired and wireless. A wired video doorbell requires a functioning wired doorbell; the old doorbell is removed and the video doorbell is connected to its existing wires. This is usually the preferred option for those that have operating doorbells.
If you don’t have a wired doorbell, we can install a wireless doorbell camera. However, this version will require that you recharge the doorbell batteries every few months.
